TODAY - 28th OCTOBER 2012
THIRTIETH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Thegiving of sight in today’s gospel might also be described as the confirmation of faith. Most of us have the faith to turn to Christ when we are in need, but our faith often has to survive the negative voices around us, that would make out that he is indifferent to our needs. We see him today as the Saviour, who cares for our immediate as well as out ultimate needs.

Guidelines are available at the Parish Office and if you are interested in participating please contact Tel: 9162670.
YEAR OF FAITH
Above all the Year of Faith is about drawing closer to Jesus. Jesus is closest to us during the Holy Eucharist, so going to Mass is the most important thing you can do. Be with him and receive him who is the God who loves you. It is God’s love and life that the world is waiting for, as Pope Benedict has written:
“Faith commits every one of us to become a living sign of the presence of the Risen Lord in the world. What the world is in particular need of today is the credible witness of people enlightened in mind and heart by the word of the Lord, and capable of opening the hearts and minds of many to the desire for God and for true life, life without end.” (Porta Fidei, 15)
YEAR OF FAITH ACTIVITIES:- THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CREED
The clearest expression of what we believe as Catholics is given in the Creed, which we recite every Sunday at Mass. We could take time to study it and learn it by heart. The Creed forms the basis for the international events taking place during the Year of Faith and the Year will end with the Pope reciting it at a special Mass.
