TODAY SUNDAY AUGUST 25th TWENTY FIRST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME – God’s salvation is for everyone. It is not limited to any special group. Yet this very universality can disguise its challenge. The Gospel offers no cheap grace but the following of a different way.

FAREWELL AND THANK YOU FR. DEOGRATIAS KISWEKA
We wish every blessing on Fr. Deogratias who returns home to his native Tanzania on Sunday August 25th. It was a great pleasure to have had Fr. Deogratias in our community once again. We wish him a safe journey home.

DIOCESAN NEEDS ENVELOPE COLLECTION – SUNDAY NEXT
Next Sunday’s envelope collection goes to fund the general administration of our diocese and to provide the salaries of the Bishop’s Pastoral Development Officer, Child Protection and Youth Officer and the Primary Schools Catechist. A levy of €6 is placed on each home throughout the diocese to meet these demands. Thank you.

HERITAGE SUNDAY at PARKE’S CASTLE
On Sun 25th August Parke’s Castle will host a celebration of local history and heritage. This is a day for all visitors to explore and visit your local visitor attraction. Events taking place during the day:
2pm – Children’s Badge making (design and make your own badge).
– Take part in Parke’s Castle Mouse Hunt and be in with a chance to win a Family OPW Heritage Card worth €55.
