We wish all mothers every grace and blessing on this special day and we thank them for reflecting the unconditional love of God for each one of us.

Dear Lord, we thank you for the great gift of motherhood. May all Mothers find daily strength to say yes to the call to the sacrificial love – the very heart of the vocation of motherhood. Amen.

GOOD FRIDAY PASSION PLAY
Would you like to join the cast of “The Folly of God” – a dramatic presentation of the Gospel Passion Narrative of our Lord? This presentation will form part of the 3pm Liturgy in Sligo Cathedral on this coming Good Friday, 29th March. Rehearsals continue Monday March 11th at 8pm in the Cathedral Sacristy.

SLIGO PARISHES CLUSTER HOLY LAND PILGRIMAGE
As part of the Year of Faith initiatives in the Cluster a pilgrimage to the Holy Land has been proposed. Travelling on October 13th till the 25th at a cost of €1610 per person sharing (price includes flights, half board hotels – 5 nights in Jerusalem and 3 in Tiberius – taxes, tour guides and pilgrim itinerary). BAPTISM IN THE CATHEDRAL PARISH
If you plan to have your child Baptised during the month of March or subsequent months you must now undertake a one night Baptismal Course which will take place in St Michael’s Family Life Centre, Church Hill on the third Thursday of every month. To book a Baptism and register for this course please contact the Parish Office on 9162670. It is necessary to attend this course prior to the Baptism of your child.

re celebrating 50 years in our Diocese. The Sisters opened their first Convent in 1963 and ran St Cuan’s College at Castleblakeney in Co. Galway. We congratulate the Sisters and pray God’s blessing on their ministry in our Parish.

HOPE IN A TIME OF CHALLENGE – A SEMINAR BY DONAL SPRING
This seminar by Donal Spring will look at how best to cope with the challenging times we live in—how we can remain hopeful in the midst of depression by accessing the resources within (spiritual, emotional, mental) to deal with the challenges of life today. Venue: St. Michael’s Family Life Centre, Church Hill, Sligo. Date: Saturday 23rd March 10.30-4.30pm. Cost: €60 to include lunch.

ANY UNWANTED SPORTS CLOTHES?
A number of 4th year business IT Sligo students have organised a Collection Day for old sports clothes of good quality. They are hoping for the public of Sligo to give whatever old sports clothes they have to this worthy cause. The clothes will be donated to the local Enable Ireland store. Do not despair if your old sports clothes are of poor quality as these will be sold and any money received will to be given to the Special Olympics.
The collection commences from the 13th to the 15th of March between 9am and 6pm in the college and from 9am to 10pm in the Knocknarea Arena on the same dates. Sports clothes can be dropped off at the main reception of the college in the bins provided or the Knocknarea Arena.
