It is long held tradition here in Sligo Cathedral, to ask for prayers in memory and in hope before our Christmas Crib.
There is a prayer box next to the beautiful Crib in our Cathedral, where prayer intentions can be deposited. All petitions are remembered during Masses over the season of Advent. If you cannot attend in person you may submit your prayer request here to be placed with others in the special box beside our Crib.

God, our Father,
You sent your only Son as a little child
to love us and to save us.
To our lives he brings joy and peace,
justice, mercy and love.
Lord, bless all who look upon his manger;
may it remind us of the humble birth of Jesus
and raise our thoughts to him.
who is God-with-us and Savior of all,
and who lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Fill our homes with hospitality, joy, gentleness, and thanksgiving.
and guide our steps in the way of peace.
