 The person who wants to follow Christ must not take it lightly; they have to sit down and count the cost and the cost is
everything they have. To be able to give everything for
Christ is a wisdom beyond this world that comes
only from the Holy Spirit.
 

PRO-LIFE MASS for the protection of the unborn child will take place at 7pm on Friday 13th of September in St John’s Church, Carraroe. Main celebrant and guest homilist Fr Michael Ross, Maynooth.  Please come and support this very important cause at this critical time for our country.

 FR. FLANAGAN PRAYER GROUP Meeting at 8pm on Tues. 10th Sept. Details of the annual retreat, probably in Ballymoe on Sun 29th Sept., will be provided. Also details about the likely visit of the US Fr. Flanagan League Board, around the end of September, will also be available. New members welcome.

 FEAST OF HOLY CROSS FRIARY “Intercession for Priests, for Vocations to the Priesthood and to Religious Life and for faithfulness in our own particular calling” Saturday 14th September. Adoration 6-6.45pm with Taize background; 6.45pm-7.30pm guided prayer followed by Sunday Vigil Mass.

ST. JOSEPH’S YOUNG PRIESTS SOCIETY monthly meeting held in the Cathedral at 10.00am on Monday 9th September. New members welcome to pray for vocations.

 YEAR OF FAITH OPPORTUNITY Sr. Moya Hegarty OSU to lead workshop (11 am – 3.30 pm) on Faith & Living Out the Gospel in The Abbey Hotel, Roscommon on Saturday September 14th. Promises to be very engaging. Suggested donation towards costs: €10 payable on the day. All Welcome.

GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION

A day of Thanksgiving for the fruitful presence of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in Ireland 50th anniversary (1963-2013). A Eucharistic celebration will be offered on September 15th, 2013 in Sligo Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12 noon. Bishop Christopher Jones will be the main celebrant and
homilist. All Welcome.
